Bill Robertson's spiritual journey


The beginning of Bill Robertson's spiritual journey began when he was saved and baptized on April 7, 1974. He grew up in a Christian home, being the youngest son of the late Ralph and Mary Robertson.

Bill married his high school sweetheart, Jean Spry on July 25, 1959. They have two adult children, Kimberly and her husband Jim Hensley, Bill II and his wife Belinda, and four grandchildren, Tara and Stefani Hensley and Brandon and Tyler Robertson.

Bill was ordained a deacon in the Brotherhood Conference at the Prince of Peace FWB Church in Huntington, WV on January 21, 1986 where he served for two years. He was later lead to the Sunshine FWB Church in October 1987 and has served as a Deacon there for 18 years. During his thirty-two year spiritual journey he has taught Sunday School and served as a member of the Trustee Board. He is committed to living in an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ, through the church and has the desire to work effectively with the Pastor and Deacon Board. His purpose of being a deacon is to serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church, doing the work of benevolence, visiting the sick and being alert to the spiritual needs of the church.
